About this book

Cedric the crocodile and Boo the elephant are best friends. Usually, they play in the park together, but Boo has new boots and he doesn't want to get them dirty. After a while, he misses Cedric so he joins him and they chase each other through the muddy leaves. But oh no! Boo's boots are dirty! Can Cedric find a way to cheer him up?

This lovely board book has many pages and a full story in it, and so its appeal has a wide span, from toddlers to pre-schoolers and beyond. There are conversations to be had about its themes - of dealing with your emotions when things go wrong, and of friendship. Boo apologises to Cedric for blaming him, which could be useful for young children to see. The bright, colourful characters are very cute, too, making this a hugely appealing book all round.
