My First Lift-the-flap Fairy Tales

Join Goldilocks, Little Red Riding Hood, the Three Little Pigs, and other classic fairy tale characters in this charming, large-format board book. There are seven fairy tales to enjoy – and you can join in by lifting the flap to reveal elements of the story.  

Ingela P Arrhenius has a very distinctive bold, friendly artwork style, and she’s known for her cute baby and toddler books. These fairy tale characters are all animals – Cinderella is a cat, for instance – with big eyes and faces full of expression.

Each story is told across one spread, with a large cardboard flap to lift on each page. The large hardback format can lie flat on an adult’s lap, so that the child listening is able to reach each flap and pore over the pictures.

The story is told in very few sentences, with some speech bubbles too, giving room and time to talk about the pictures. As with all Nosy Crow books for young children, helpfully there is a QR code on the back to hear an audio recording. A delight.
