Go Go Dodo!

About this book
One evening, Dodo decided to go for a stroll through the gentle jungle. Yes, the very gentle jungle...
But what Dodo doesn’t realise is that there’s a tiger following him. As Dodo merrily winds his way through the gentle jungle, the friendly swamp, and the peaceful hill, various disasters befall the tiger. But what will happen when they arrive at the dangerous grass?
This hilarious book allows readers to spot something that the narrator and the main character haven’t seen, which always delights young children. An entirely different story from the words read aloud is happening in the pictures.
The subplot of the tiger falling prey to various mishaps is very funny, not least because of the brilliant illustrations by Fred Blunt. The tiger’s expression is comical on every page, particularly in contrast to the dodo’s blissful smile. The bold colours make each scene a pleasure to pore over, and the minimal text is kept to the bottom of the pages, making the whole book visually very striking.
Fans of Rosie’s Walk will enjoy sharing this book too – and it has a nice twist at the end. Absolutely joyous.
