About this book
Let's move our bodies to a beat! Bend knees or elbows. Stomp those feet! There are so many ways to move your body - join in with the characters as they nod and clap and sway and shake.
Toddlers and young children will enjoy following the instructions in this charming board book. The text is incredibly simple, speaking directly to the child listening, and there is likely to be a movement that they can do, no matter their needs, making this a fun, interactive reading experience. It's set in a nursery, making it a familiar scene, with toys and musical instruments in the background. The cheerful, boldly coloured illustrations depict lots of different children, including a child with crutches, one with vitiligo and one who wears headphones, so it feels real and inclusive. There is a spread on taking things slowly if there's a bump, too, which is both realistic and practical! This is a delightful book to get children moving, and it ends with a calm sit down on the rug, and a labelling of various body parts that have just been wiggling.
