About this book
This is the latest offering in the ‘Welsh Wonders’ series. These books have done an important job of shining a light on the lives of influential figures in Wales’ history that may otherwise have gone unnoticed. The story of Billy Boston the Welsh rugby player is a particularly good example. The book manages to convey the story of Billy’s life through using age-appropriate language along with appealing illustrations. The truth and the unfairness of the racism that Billy experienced is obvious and yet this book is a celebration of the way Billy overcame these challenges, still succeeding to become one of Wales’ most successful rugby players.
