Busy Little Fingers: Play
by author-illustrator Martine Perrin
Interest age: 3 to 5
Published by Post Wave Children's Books, 2026
About this book
Are your busy little fingers ready to play? Can you cover the dots with each finger? Now trace the trails. And tap the drums. Follow the instructions to get your fingers moving for a fun, interactive experience.
Fans of Press Here by Hervé Tullet will love this book. With instructions throughout, there are different things to do with your hands on every spread. Children will be thinking about their left and right, about the corresponding colour to finger, about the names for each finger and about completing each task. This is not for teeny tinies, because the different fingers make it slightly complicated, but the actual movements shouldn't be too tricky, and the graphic illustrations give a sparse clarity to each page. Fun and interactive, with lots of opportunities for adults to model the movements and for children to practise their fine motor skills.
