Bedtime is Boring!
by Georgie Birkett
Interest age: 3 to 5

About this book
Little tadpole Cosmo loves to sleep. Wherever Mummy takes him, he’s a delightful, sweet, snoozy baby and no trouble at all. Mummy feels very rested and everyone is happy.
Yet when Cosmo gets a little older, life gets so interesting that he just doesn’t want to sleep anymore: there are poems to write, karate moves to practise, and haunted houses to build.
Even when Mummy has done the long bedtime routine every night – bath, stories, hugs, kisses – Cosmo has a million questions for her. Finally, he falls asleep at 3.34AM in her bed, only to repeat the same again the next day.
Yet, one day, when Cosmo falls asleep in the cinema, he realises that he’d be less tired and cranky if he tried sleeping through the night in his own bed – and when he does, he’s so proud of himself! As is Mummy, who is also deeply relived to get a decent night’s sleep again.
Georgie Birkett’s adorable story about a little frog learning good sleep habits will be relatable for many little ones and their parents. Birkett’s cosy, cute illustrations are full of love and colour; delightfully original whilst at the same time being a solid bedtime book with a great message.
Highly recommended.
