Dónall Ó Dochartaigh is a current Senior Teacher for Teaching & Learning at Gaelcholáiste Dhoire, an all-ability Irish-Medium Secondary School in Co. Derry. An experienced Head of English, he is passionate about improving teaching and learning outcomes for students from all backgrounds and believes that reading for pleasure is a foundational aspect of driving this improvement
Director of Children’s Books at BookTrust
Lizzie Catford is BookTrust’s Director of Children’s Books. Lizzie leads BookTrust’s collaborations with publishers, authors, illustrators and the wider books sector. This includes selection of books for our programmes, book reviews and recommendations, as well as running the Children’s Laureate campaign. Lizzie oversees BookTrust’s schools programmes for children age 7–14, supporting reading to become a habitual part of the everyday life of all children. Prior to BookTrust, Lizzie worked in the publishing sector for nearly two decades, at some of the UK’s most influential publishers. Lizzie is a Governor for a South London Primary School.
