Programme page content guide

The programme page will give an overview of what a given programme offers. It’s flexible and can be used for any programme or audience.

We’ve specified different text areas in the content model, but these will be added to the page/entry using the text block (to remain flexible):

  • Testimonial(s): Short quotes from those who have delivered or received the programmes, including name, job title and organisation or anonymised.
  • About: The opening paragraph which gives an introduction to what the programme involves and who it’s aimed at.
  • Description: More detail about how the programme is delivered and what is included.
  • Eligibilty: Who can access this programme (the end beneficiaries).
  • Cost: The cost of the programme, for example, “£24.99 per child, per month” for Story Explorers.
  • Packs and offers: Outline of what is included in the pack(s).
  • Benefits: Expanding on the description to highlight the benefits for partners and for children.
  • Call to action: Call to action button for the onward step for the programme.

We also recommend that you include the following:

  • Programme video(s).
  • Partners/funders: Logo(s) of programme partners or funders.
  • Related resources: Shown in navigational cards to highlight delivery resources, research briefings and impact reports.
  • Related articles: Shown in navigational cards to highlight articles.
  • Pack image(s): An image/s of the inside of the pack(s).
  • Impact report: The latest impact or evaluation for the programme (could be a PDF download).

All programmes have a status of open, closed or past. The status is accompanied by a message field which will display on the front end. The status message is displayed under the programme name:

  • Open: No default status message, usually hidden but adding a message will cause it to be displayed, for example, Now open for 2025 applications”.
  • Closed: Default status message says, This programme is currently closed”.
  • Past: Default status message says, We no longer offer this programme”.

Programme entries are categorised into the following (in the taxonomies tab in the entry editor):

  • Role (for example, early years professional or health professional)
  • Education stage (for example, early years, foundation (Wales) or key stage 1)
  • Age group (0 to 1 year, 1 to 2 years, etc.)
  • Nation (England, Northern Ireland and Wales/Cymru)

Lucy has mapped out the programme’s ages and education stage in the IA doc.
