There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly
Publisher: Child's Play
One of the Classic Books-with-Holes that have been around for 30 years. This new edition is perfect for small hands and the holes in the page really draw the child through the book.

Books based on nursery rhymes
Babies and toddlers love songs, especially those with actions. If there are pictures and books involved too, this is even better!
These books feature traditional nursery rhymes, or variations on them. Enjoy sharing them together.

A real favourite which we do with and without the book. The book is well loved particularly the little holes for little fingers to touch. A fun, melodic rhyme which can really get caught in your head.

My two love this story. They both went to our local theatre where there was a production based on the book. They were both telling me what animal was next. They enjoy when we read the book together, often telling me what will happen next, or listening to their story cd of the book. Also they love to tell the story out loud when we are out and about.

My local library and children's centre did a storytime where they read this book and used a matching puppet that could swallow all the items. It was a very interactive session that was entertaining for child and parent.

Ruby loves this book - it's great for memory and repeating familiar sentences! Ruby was filling in the gaps from an early age and enjoying the book together was priceless! A real favourite!

We love this story. Has great fluidity to the read. It is one of our favourite go to books at the Childrens Centre.
