The Moon Keeper

Emile the gentle polar bear is deeply honoured when the night creatures select him to be the Moon Keeper. Each night, he keeps a careful watch over the magnificent moon, vacuuming up the clouds and shooing away the fruit bats when they get too close.

After several tranquil nights, Emile makes an alarming observation: the moon appears to be getting smaller! To keep track of any changes, he draws pictures of the moon in his notebook every evening, which confirms that it is indeed altering in shape and size. Concerned that the moon is unwell, hungry or sad, Emile does everything he can think of to fix the problem, until a wise bird encourages him to trust in what he cannot see.
