The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time
Publisher: Red Fox
Seen through the eyes of Christopher, a mathematical genius and Sherlock Holmes fan, who also has Asperger's syndrome, this bestselling novel opens with the discovery of a murdered dog on the neighbour's lawn.
In his search to discover the identity of the killer, Christopher uncovers some disturbing information about his own family, which throws his ordered world into chaos, and he embarks on a journey to London to find the mother he thought was dead.
This funny, touching and compelling novel was the winner of the inaugural Booktrust Teenage Prize. A must-read for adults and children alike, it is an adventure story unlike any other.

"What in f***'s name have you done to my dog? " not for a 12-year-old unless you don't give a dime. my son got this book as a new year gift and on page 4 he starts complaining that he does not want to continue.

My favourite book as a teenager. So easy to read, love the way Christopher tells the story so clearly and following the mystery of his poor dog. I've read it three times (seen the play and have the audiobook) and I'm not a big 'reader'.

I read this book and it was honestly wonderful! It's odd seeing life through the eyes of Christopher, however I would strongly recommend this book, not really for under 10s though. I think it's fine for 11 year olds, as that is the age I am and the age I was when I read it. would strongly recommend.

amazing book, watch the west end play, it's amazing. I read when 10, it was not PG but it was still an amazing book. read The Knife of Never Letting Go and the rest of that series.

After I read it and still now it seems a strange sort of book, something you wouldn't think about really and I guess it just made think was is it like. It seems a bit confusing and as it is from his point of view the journey he takes must seem confusing for him too. Its hard to explain but if I had to sum it up I'd say it makes you think how hard peoples lives are with disabilities , its not how every book is written and has more of a personal feel. so yeah good book

This book is truly amazing and it opened my eyes to the perspective and level of thinking of an autistic child. I will recommend this book to all 14 year olds.

This is one of the best books I've read and have re-read it over and over again. It's really eye opening to see life through the eyes of 15 year old autistic Christopher.

This book is sooooooooo good! It is a gripping novel of friendship, sadness, and everyday life. Does have some bad language that spoils the book, in my opinion though. But overall, an interesting and exciting book.
