My Best Friend is A Giraffe

Publisher: Priddy Books

Bird’s best friend just so happens to be a giraffe. And this giraffe gets up to all sorts of funny and silly antics. In this fun and playful board book, each of the five spreads shows Giraffe in a different scenario with a unique texture for young babies and toddlers to explore.

Little readers are invited to feel Giraffe’s glittery roller skates as she tries her hand at skating, pull at her rough felt tongue as she gazes at a broccoli cake, and more. The cover is striking with its delightfully soft padded giraffe face and the clear contrast between illustrations and background makes it suitable for even the youngest of babies.

It is great to see a baby board book that also has a slight character and story arc to it. The simple, playful rhyming text and quality tactile elements make this a brilliant book for stimulating both the sense and early imagination!
