Everywhere Babies

Publisher: Red Wagon Books

'Every day, everywhere, babies are born.'

This gorgeous board book follows all sorts of babies – 'small babies, tall babies, winter and spring babies' – over the course of a year. Read along as they are cuddled and carried, make friends and learn to crawl or walk. It's a true celebration of babies and the joy and giggles they bring.

This book pulls at your heart strings and seems absolutely perfect for snuggling up with little ones. They're sure to be lulled by the easy, melodic rhyme.

What really makes this book, however, are the warm, detailed illustrations by Marla Frazee. You could spend quite a bit of time on every page, pointing out different things or talking through the scenes with small ones. There are some American English words used, but nothing that jolts.

The drawings are also effortlessly diverse – incidental, as they should be, and simply reflective of the world around us. The words do not comment on the different family set-ups, so it is up to the reader to draw attention to it as little or as much as they would like.
