About this book

It is an exciting day. Zeki loves the water and today Dad’s taking him to his baby swimming class. So it’s on with the swim nappy and shorts and then into the water to join his friends for much splashing, kicking, singing and playing.

Bright and colourful, this picture book for the very young is an utter delight. The text is lively but accessible, the illustration and design simple yet gorgeously eye-catching. Technically, it is a picture book, but the curved corners and manageable size make it an ideal gentle step-up from board books. The cast is naturally diverse and subtly inclusive (one of Zeki’s friends has a foreshortened arm).

A charming and celebratory book for all.
