About this book

Did you know that people across the world are tackling the problem of climate change - and in the future you could be one of them! From airship designers to algae farmers, foresters to oceanographers, drillers to sewage workers, there are many jobs that help protect our planet. Learn more about the different ways to capture and store energy; the inventions and solutions that will change the way we live; and even how you can make electricity from olives!

This engaging book offers an introduction to the many varied careers within a broad interpretation of caring for the planet. There are scientists, engineers, farmers and geologists included, but also jobs such as politicians, bike mechanics, fashion designers, firefighters and architects. Many of these jobs carry responsibility for making eco-friendly decisions, and playing a part in the bigger picture. This hopeful, positive view on climate change is inspiring, as is the view that no matter what you like, or are good at, there's a way you can help. It's in picture book format, with full colour, friendly illustrations that include enough detail of the science and technology to be both engaging and accessible. Ideal for beginning conversations about climate change - and careers.
