Where is Pierre?

About this book
This is Bear. And this is Pierre. They make a great pair. It's Bear's birthday, a day he wants to share with Pierre. But there's one problem. Where is Pierre? Can you help Bear?
This very simple, very sweet hide-and-seek book is irresistible. Young children will enjoy searching for Pierre the penguin, who is on every spread - sometimes easy to spot, sometimes not. Ultimately, of course, there's a good reason for Pierre to hide from his friend, and a lovely twist at the end.
The text is minimal, repetitive and rhyming, making it easy to read aloud and easy to join in with. (The child shouting, 'There!' when pointing to Pierre would rhyme also, which is a nice extra touch!) The illustrations are very cute - uncluttered, yet with enough detail to make it tricky to find Pierre sometimes, and with adorable animal characters. This is the first in a series about Bear and Pierre, and its interactive simplicity will delight a wide span of ages.
