About this book
A very obviously alien family (blue with huge eyes and antennae!) crashes into the house of Mr and Mrs Li. They insist they are human - from ‘Europe’.
Luckily, the Lis are kind humans so they don’t think twice about giving help, and neither do all their friends. They accept odd answers to what the aliens do for a job (‘playing sportsball’, ‘wearing hat’). They all club together to help the aliens fix their spaceship with no awkward questions.
We Are Definitely Human is a very funny and also very profound picture book on the sweetness of helping and acceptance. It’s great to read out loud and the story will spark lots of questions and fun opportunities to talk about and around the book with children of all ages.
The illustrations are iconic, and it’s the kind of book children aged 3 or 4 will become obsessed with and demand again and again. Great for early years settings, school and home reading.
