About this book
Isabella Swann has returned to her home town to live with her father and attend college.
Despite attention from many other boys, she craves the one who sits apart from the others, the stunningly handsome Edward. However, he only seems to hang about with his adopted family.
Edward seems to hate Bella, but it turns out that he is in love with her and he is afraid of what he might do to her. After much dialogue and emotional tension, Edward reveals himself to be a vampire and that Bella is driving him blood lust crazy.
It's a potentially deadly combination. The book is long, and wordy, but the storyline is compelling with well drawn and distinct characters.
