Trick or Treat?

It's Halloween and a witch is keen to make a Sniff-Out-An-Ogre potion but is missing the key ingredient – a little girl.

Nobody ever ventures down the twisty, turny path through the winding, wailing woods to the witch’s creepy, creaky house. Imagine the witch’s delight, therefore, when a little girl unexpectedly rings the doorbell, playing Trick or Treat.  

The witch eagerly invites the child inside and encourages her to climb into the cauldron, so she can complete the potion. Meanwhile, the girl chatters away about how impressed she is by the witch’s very realistic costume and props. However, when she is refused a treat, the little girl plays her own trick on the unsuspecting witch.  

The witty text is fun to read aloud and the tale is enhanced by crisp, full-page illustrations in a suitably ghoulish palette of black, orange, green and purple. With plenty of humour and a marvellous twist at the end, this spooky, entertaining picture book is sure to elicit lots of giggles.
