About this book

What makes a perfect day? For the grown-up sea otter, it can be watching a special sunrise, playing, laughing, learning new things or just looking at the clouds float by. As long as the grown-up sea otter is with the baby sea otter, they can be doing anything or nothing. It’s being together that really matters.

Although not specifically a bedtime story, the muted colours and gentle water scenes exude calm and tranquillity. The book begins at sunrise and ends with a setting sun and a starry, night sky and, with few words, it is the pictures that really do the talking. As an "end of day" shared read, it would offer an ideal space for youngsters to look back at what has happened during their own day.

With a softly padded cover and silver foil detailing, this sturdy board book is perfect for little fingers to explore, while the almost unbearably cute illustrations will melt the heart of any grown-up who treasures the time they spend with their little ones.

An unashamedly sentimental celebration of love and togetherness.
