Grandma claims there is a tiger in the garden, but Nora doesn't believe her. She also says there is a grumpy polar bear, some carnivorous plants and dragonflies the size of birds. Nora is so bored she decides to go and have a look. Grandma seems to have been telling the truth - and after a narrow escape from the plant, Nora comes face to face with the friendliest tiger imaginable.
A sweet and surreal story with lush painterly illustrations and a high quality production make this feel like a really special book. Books with family and friends looking after children
It's important that books reflect contemporary society, and that children see a variety of family situations in the stories they read.
