Noi and his father live by the sea with their six cats. After a big storm, whilst his father is on the fishing boat, Noi sets out to discover what the storm washed up. He spots something in the distance – a little whale washed up on the sand. Noi knows that the whale must remain wet so he works to keep water on it. He takes the whale home, trying his best to make the whale feel at home. On his father’s return home, Noi is nervious he will be angry there is a Whale in his bath. Noi and his father take the Whale back to the sea together. A wonderfully illustrated story exploring Noi’s day.

About the author

Benji Davies is an illustrator and animation director. From a young age he was often to be found painting at the kitchen table, a scene which can still be seen to this day. Benji studied animation at university and has since worked on a diverse array of projects, from picture books and animated short films to music videos, commercials and title sequences. His books have been co-editioned in many languages and countries around the world. The Storm Whale is his first self-penned picture book. He lives in London with his wife Nina.
