About this book

Ali lives on the Great Green Island with her dad, a fisherman. 

There are so many amazing coves, branches, rocks, and bugs to discover that Ali is always asking everyone on the island to come along on her exploring missions – but they’re too busy selling and cooking fish and mending nets.

However, one day, all the fish in the sea around the island disappear, and no-one on the island has anything to do. When Ali and her dad go to investigate, they find a mysterious cave and follow some shimmering scales to find a huge cavern full of the missing fish. 

And when the cavern does a big burp, they realise that they might be inside something a little more unusual than a cave…
