Adventure-hungry Wanzu lives with his grandma Jjajja on the island of Sealand, where inhabitants possess magical powers linked to an element: either air, fire, water or earth. Love Ssega’s debut introduces a lot of ecological information through the story as the children learn from nature to save their home, and the text is complimented beautifully by generous black and white illustrations from Erika Meza that depict the natural world around them.
