About this book
Meet Agnes the Chihuahua. She’s not the biggest dog in the book.
Neither is Magnus the dachshund, who is bigger than Agnes, but not the biggest dog in the book.
And Popcorn the beagle has a very waggy tail, but she’s not the biggest dog in the book. Neither is Speedy Sam – he's a tortoise in the wrong book! So just who is the biggest dog in the book?
This funny picture book is an introduction to various dog breeds, and a celebration of all the individual dogs’ personalities. Each has their strengths and their quirky ways, and they all love playing in the park together.
The text repeats as we meet bigger and bigger dogs, which is fun for the child to anticipate, and makes it very enjoyable to read aloud. The gorgeous illustrations are energetic and bright, giving each dog lots of cute appeal – and watch out for the tortoise getting involved with the dogs.
There is at least one laugh-out-loud moment, and a big fold-out page at the back. Bouncy, very fun and sweet – even for cat lovers!
