About this book
Welcome to Bunny's bus route. There are 10 on the bus, until Frog bounces out to the cafe. Then there are 9 on the bus, until Giraffe steps out to school. Then there are 8.... and so on, until it's just Bunny the bus driver left. So he drives back through the town, picking up all his friends once more. Can you count down from 10 and back up again?
This bright and bouncy picture book is great fun to read aloud. It has lovely repetition, including repeated dialogue for children to join in with - 'Next stop please!' - and some lines from the song 'Wheels on the Bus'. The counting element does require some numbers knowledge, as the counting down is first, but numerals are used, which makes it clearer. Plus at the end, there's a list of things to spot - 1 hat, 2 rainbows and so on. There are many details to spot in the beautiful illustrations, and lots of different places to talk about - the park, the shop, the dentist, and so on. Delightful!
