About this book
It's half term, but instead of enjoying her best friend's long-planned 16th birthday party, Bella is in a wet, dreary caravan park, wearing a selection of cut-up cereal boxes, preparing for a fun evening of fancy dress.
Then she gets locked out of the caravan. And it's cold. And muddy. And then she has the excellent idea of doing some exercise to warm up - and almost knocks out a passing camper. And worse (and better) is yet to come.
Like many 15-year-olds, Bella doesn't always feel in control of her life and some of her decisions result in cringe-worthy consequences that are often comedy gold. But underlying the humour is a clever and revealing depiction of how the worst mistakes we make often lead to the most valuable life lessons.
