About this book
Thirteen-year-old Zeke Zero lives on planet Grimlax, where crime and pollution are rife. He survives by stealing, evading trigger-happy bounty hunters and trusting no one. When he steals a treasure map showing the location of a powerful, ancient relic, known as the Eye of the Cosmos, Zeke becomes a target for the ruthless Princess Grizelda Grim, who will do anything to get her hands on the Eye.
To escape her clutches, Zeke joins forces with the mysterious Astrid of Elsewhere, and Star Breaker Captain Ishmael Tooms. Together, they embark on a perilous quest to find the Eye, racing across the galaxy, where they encounter terrifying monsters and an army of killer vines.
This funny, fast-paced graphic novel is a thrilling read. The artwork is superb, with action-packed scenes in stylish, rich tones bursting from every page. Unusually for this genre, the text is written in sentence case, rather than capitals, so the letter shapes are easy to recognise. In addition, the speech bubbles differ in font and colour depending on the speaker, which makes the narrative clearer to follow. A fantastic, high-energy new series for junior readers.
