About this book
Pawprint Productions Studios make exciting TV shows created by and for animals.
When cuddly koala actor Archie Snuggletum lands the role of Hoodlum PIE-Claw, a gangster in the popular drama series Squeaky Minders, he's worried he won’t be scary enough to deliver a convincing performance as the meanest menace in town.
However, while filming his opening scene as a bank robber, Archie trips and knocks himself out. When he wakes up, he believes he is a real gangster and rampages through the TV studios, flinging sticky lemon meringue pies at anyone who gets in his way.
After stealing all the freshly baked pies from the Cooking with Corgi Joe show, Archie sends patients fleeing on Emergency Vets. Finally, he storms into a live recording of quiz show Beastly Buzzers, where he will stop at nothing to get his paws on all the prizes.
This funny chapter book is illustrated throughout with black-and-white artwork. It is the first tale in the Pawprint Productions series for junior readers, and introduces an amusing assortment of characters who are sure to feature in later stories. Look out for book two, Barking Bake Off.
