About this book

King Tut is alive! And he’s a K-Pop sensation!

When best friends Skylar and Dana unexpectedly time-travel in Nana’s food truck tuktuk, they accidently kidnap the Ancient Egyptian boy Pharaoh Tutankhamun. They take him with them to a K-Mania show in the present day, where all things K-Pop are celebrated, but ping back in time again, leaving him there by mistake. And so begins a time-travel adventure where the two best friends meet historical figures such as Marie Curie, Isaac Newton, William Shakespeare and even Henry VIII. Can they get King Tut back to Ancient Egypt before they change history for ever? And – more importantly – can Skylar forgive Dana for liking a different K-Pop band to her?

This funny adventure crackles with humour and relatable emotions. Skylar is worried that everything is changing, and that her best friend doesn’t like her any more, but the two work through their friendship issues in a realistic way. This story is not just for fans of K-pop – every reader will find something that chimes with them, or they can simply enjoy the (tuktuk) ride!
