About this book
There’s something about Mrs Shaw, the kind old neighbour from next door. Even though she’s nearly 94, I think she owns a dinosaur!
These are the thoughts that run around the head of the main character in this story. On a normal street in a normal neighbourhood, none of the grownups believe that there could actually be dinosaurs roaming Mrs Shaw’s place. But there are clues everywhere, if you have the imagination and know where to look. Just maybe, there could be dinosaurs all around us!
This is a fantastic picture book with a bouncing, rhythmical text and heaps of dinosaur fun (and a few heaps of dinosaur poo too!). The illustrations are bright, bold and playful, and children will love the spotting the hidden dinosaurs and will feel involved as they point them out to the oblivious characters.
With excellent rhyme, rhythm and playfulness, this is a great book for dinosaur fans and for introducing a bit of magic into everyday life. Who knows? Maybe there are dinosaurs living next door after all!
