Milo and the Mountain

About this book
Milo lives beside the mountain and dreams of climbing it. But it's really HUGE. He puts on his boots and packs his backpack... but it's quite cold. And dark. Perhaps he'll try tomorrow. Yet he never does do it. Then one day, Milo's dad suggests he ask his friends for help. Can Milo climb the mountain with their support?
This is a joyful debut picture book that shows children it's a great idea to ask for help. The community of friends who support and encourage Milo up the mountain enables him to achieve his dream. It is tough, and he needs some extra help, but he finally does it. This message is an important one for children to read about, and it's done in a gentle, engaging manner.
The artwork is striking, in autumnal tones and with intricate details, including a nod to Close Encounters for adult readers. This was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize. A fantastic debut picture book.
