About this book
Maya and Marley live in Grove Adventure Playground with their mum, dad, and cheeky pet goats, Lou and Chou. But when the siblings find Lou and Chou eating some stray onions, they realise that the playground is quite messy and needs a big tidy up.
Maya clears up around the campfire and Marley searches for rubbish in the garden. It’s all going well until they realise there’s so much more rubbish than they thought: more than they can tidy alone! What will Maya and Marley do?
Fortunately, there are plenty of friends around the playground that are willing to help, so the Great Big Tidy Up commences! And there’s even time for a yummy feast for everyone afterwards.
This sweet picture book about keeping our environment neat and well-tended is a lovely book with a great message about the power of communities to band together and get things done – plus, there’s a nicely inclusive cast of characters as well as some practical, achievable tips for tidying outside spaces at the back of the book.
