About this book

When Laura Marlin wins a holiday to the Caribbean she has no idea of the danger that lies ahead, thousands of miles from home. When her uncle is kidnapped, Laura, with the help of her friend Tariq and faithful dog Skye, embarks on a race against time to save him, battling pirates, escaping sharks and fleeing an erupting volcano along the way.

This, the second Laura Marling mystery, has all the elements of an old fashioned adventure story, action packed with friends rallying to fight an evil enemy. Laura is a strong and dependable heroine, loyal to her friends. The short chapters, most ending with a cliff hanger, add to the pace as the story builds to make a very absorbing and exciting page turner.
