About this book

“The maze is a dangerous place. The maze is ever-changing. The maze has never been solved.”

At the heart of an impenetrable, deadly labyrinth lies the Avenir, an experimental treasure that allows people to see the future. Like many children before him, 12-year-old Drew is taking on the maze to seek this prize. But, for Drew, there is another reason to enter. His sister Evie ventured into the maze before him and has not been seen since. So begins an incredible adventure that twists and turns and throws one challenge after another at Drew as he struggles to conquer the maze before time runs out.

This is a fantastic, fast-paced adventure that throws readers into the action from the very first chapter. The high-octane pace is maintained throughout as Drew negotiates physical, logical and psychological challenges of all kinds. Along the way he learns the truth about the maze, leading to an incredible twist that will leave you reeling!

Just as in Puzzle Room, another of Christopher Edge’s excellent books, there are opportunities in this adventure for readers to solve the challenging puzzles alongside the characters. Its combination of pace, intrigue, interactivity and action make this title seriously appealing, and this is a book that many readers will find unputdownable.
