About this book
Everyone knows there is no such thing as a yeti, right? Well, one little boy is determined to prove this wrong. He is sure there's one living in the forest behind his house and today is the day he decides to find it once and for all. With his trusty dog, a well-packed bag and a map, he sets out to search high and low. But no matter how hard he looks, the elusive yeti cannot be found. It turns out yetis don’t exist after all… or do they? Perhaps one may be hiding much closer than he thinks!
This fantastic picture book has a wonderful “It’s behind you” subplot and children will love spotting the mysterious yeti as it hides just out of sight. Matt Hunt’s illustrations are bold and inviting with their snowy landscapes, forests and camouflaged details, and the planning and equipment scenes give the story a pleasingly intrepid, adventurous feel.
A fun and interactive story with a similar feel to books like We’re Going on a Bear Hunt and Rosie’s Walk, this is sure to become a wintery favourite that is requested again and again by young readers. It would also make a great stimulus for exciting English or art lessons in Key Stage 1.
