About this book
This touch-and-feel book goes through the noises made by various jungle animals and encourages little ones to join in. On each page there’s a different texture relating to the animal described: there’s a fuzzy lion mane, leathery crocodile skin, soft monkey fur, fluffy parrot feathers and scaly snakeskin for little hands to explore.
The vibrant graphic style – bright colours and big, bold lettering – along with the variety of textures and the cut-out cover give this book lots of sensory appeal. It’s also particularly good for adults who feel less confident about reading with children, as it provides specific instructions on when and how they could encourage the child to interact with the book. For example, ‘Funky monkeys love to jump. They oo-ah-oo. Say ooh-ah, too!’. Overall, this offers plenty of opportunity to create a lively reading experience for both adult and child.
