About this book

Meet Ghost and Toast - one's dead; one's bread. They live in a spooky mansion, with Mr Borloff. And an evil croissant. Together, they have madcap adventures involving robots, ghost trains and giant kittens, among other things. But will Ghost ever find out where he comes from?

This is a very silly graphic novel with a great buzzy energy to it. The friendship between Ghost and Toast has one of those dynamics where one party (Toast) has infinite creative imagination and endless non-sequiturs, and the other (Ghost) has to go along with it. Cue chaos....

The illustrations have bright colours and bold outlines, the panels are pretty large, with relatively minimal text, making it feel uncluttered and appealing visually. The font is all upper case, and there are several stories in one volume, with page numbers on each page, to allow readers to chart their progress. At the end, there are 'how to draw' sections, and also mini extra strips of silliness. Great fun.
