About this book
The time has come for Froggy to leave his family and make his own way in the world. Packing up his belongings and plenty of snacks, he sets off to explore the big wide pond, determined to embrace every adventure that comes his way.
On his epic journey, the little green amphibian encounters an array of wacky characters. He narrowly escapes some hungry birds, plays a pivotal role in a bee romance, and even meets a wizard who wants to incorporate Froggy into his potion.
His experience with humans is mixed: some try to kiss him to turn him into a handsome prince, while others kidnap his best friend Fishtopher.
Each short chapter features a mini adventure, many of which can be enjoyed as standalone stories, making this a great book for reluctant readers and those who are developing their reading stamina.
The comic book design incorporates colourful, amusing illustration panels, which are peppered with speech bubbles, helping to create a sense of pace. While the text is minimal, there are plenty of visual narratives to be enjoyed within the vibrant illustrations.
Silly, imaginative and with friendship firmly at its core, this quirky tale is full of humour.

Graphic novels (comic-strip books) for beginner readers
Graphic novels, told in comic-strip style, are a brilliant way to introduce children to the fun of reading stories. The visual narrative is just as important to follow as the words. This selection is aimed at beginner readers, with minimal text and speech bubbles, but lots of funny action.
