About this book
Joe Bones lives in the spooky town of Grim, which is built around a graveyard. When his beloved gran dies, he is astounded to discover that she was hiding a secret: she was a top agent for an ancient society known as the Fright Club, the human branch of an underworld alliance which investigates supernatural crimes.
Gran wanted Joe to continue her undercover work, and left him a box containing a severed finger, a log book detailing her cases, and a map of the Graveworlds, a group of eerie subterranean cities hidden beneath Grim.
Joe is certain that otherwordly forces are involved in the sinister murder of Grim’s new librarian, so together with his friends Hal, Debbie and Rose, he attempts to uncover the truth.
Their investigations lead them into the Graveworlds, where they encounter demons in Devilbend, Hightower’s vampires, and the skeleton inhabitants of Clinks. They quickly learn that not everyone is who they seem, and must decide who – if anyone – they can trust.
Fast-paced and funny, this revoltingly gory adventure is the first thrilling book in the Fright Club series, perfect for the Halloween season.
