About this book
Making friends isn’t easy when you’re a pizza. Some people want to meet you. Some people want to eat you.
Yet when Frank’s invited to Billy Greedlepot’s party, he’s keen to go. He puts on his best pepperoni slices, but his dad makes him wear olives and anchovies as well. ‘Yuck!’ say all the children, and no one will play with him.
Until he meets Frances the cupcake. Together, they have fun adding delicious toppings to themselves. But then the hungry children notice them...
This hilariously silly picture book will have children desperate for a pizza slice not to be eaten, and there are lots of funny details to spot in the fabulous, bright illustrations. Never has a pizza slice expressed so many emotions!
The story could lead to conversations about empathy, making friends and fitting in, but most of all, it’s a lot of fun.
