About this book

Everyone’s favourite patchwork elephant is experiencing all kinds of weather in this chunky board book for the very youngest book lovers.

Little hands will enjoy turning the pages using the helpful die-cut tabs and David McKee’s bright and beautiful illustrations are a feast for eyes of all ages. The text is minimal, with a single line, ‘Elmer flies in the wind’, paired with some fun sounds to say together: ‘Wheeeeee!’.

Elmer enjoys thunder and lightning, looking cool in his shades in the bright sunshine and splashing about in the rain, but Elmer likes snow best of all.

This is a lovely way to introduce a classic character before readers are ready for the full stories, and a great opportunity to discuss and learn about the weather.

About the author

David McKee was born and brought up in South Devon, where he went from grammar school to Plymouth Art College.
