About this book

Each Sunday evening, when dinner is over, Beth heads for the sofa. This is her special time every week when she and Dad snuggle up and he does her hair. Would she like bunches, pigtails or bows? Beth decides she wants twists and Dad just knows they'll suit her!

Gently he twists lots of light bouncy strands into Beth's hair, and as he works they sing and tell jokes and stories. Beth's so proud of her new hair that she can't wait for school the next day!

Softly rhyming text and glowing, illustrations in this calm, gentle book celebrate an apparently insignificant domestic ritual, which means everything to this father and daughter as they make time for each other.
