Catch That Egg

About this book
Floppit is a bunny with very big, bouncy feet, which is great for jumping around, but not so great for being cooped up inside the house. So, Floppit goes to finds some friends to play with, but, unfortunately, Cow, Sheep and Chicken are all looking after little ones and Floppit is just too boisterous for them. Is he too bouncy to be around? Yet when Chicken’s egg rolls away, Floppit finds that someone who can run fast and jump high is just what’s needed.
Rowland’s rhyming text is a lovely one to share with older siblings that may have a new baby in the house and feel they are constantly being told to be quiet or careful. There’s a gentle moral in the tale about everyone having something they’re good at, even if it seems as if other people don’t always appreciate it.
