About this book

This book is packed with incredible facts to amaze and ‘wow’ about the world around us.

With sections on the Earth, human wonders, peculiar plants, curious creatures and the forces of nature, there is something for everyone. It’s a smorgasbord of information, from caves with rainbow walls and flowers that look like monkeys to magnetic light shows and ancient underground cities.

Did you know that a sardine shoal has about ten million fish in it? Or that the largest spider’s web ever recorded was 25m long? That’s bigger than a tennis court! There’s a desert in America where rocks move around on their own, a town in Morocco where all the buildings are painted blue, and in Peru there are drawings scratched into the land that are so huge you can only see them properly from the air.

It’s very visually appealing with colour photographs that draw you in and bring the facts to life. The text is in bite-size chunks but quite small in places and feels very detailed, so is more suited to able readers, but overall, the book is great for dipping in-and-out and pick-up-able for less engaged readers, and perfect for dedicated fact hunters.
