All books that BookTrust gifts to children and school libraries are chosen through a selection panel. Our panels include Early Years practitioners, teachers, librarians, other children’s reading experts and consultants.
If you would like to be considered for our selection panel, please complete the online form for the programme you are interested in.

Bookstart Additional Needs
Our flagship programme Bookstart supports every parent and carer to enjoy books with their child from birth and aims to encourage parents and carers to read with their child every day. To ensure all children can access books, within the Bookstart programme we include book packs for children who are blind or partially sighted, deaf children; and children with a condition or disability that affects their fine motor skills.

Bookbuzz Primary
Bookbuzz Primary encourages reading for pleasure through independent choice. Aimed at key stage 2 students, this programme gives pupils the chance to choose and keep a book they’ll love from a collection of 16 titles.
Closing date: 18th September 2026
Bookbuzz Secondary
The Bookbuzz Secondary programme is designed to encourage reading for pleasure. Secondary school students aged 11 to 13 years old get to choose and keep a book they’ll love from a curated selection of 16 titles.
