How we are governed

The day-to-day business of BookTrust is overseen by the Senior Leadership Team. Heading up the Senior Leadership Team is the Chief Executive Officer, who is accountable to the Chair and the Board of Trustees.

Our Chair and Board of Trustees hold overall responsibility for the charity’s activities and its assets; ensuring legal and charitable compliance and efficient use of resources.

Safeguarding

At BookTrust, we believe all children should have the chance to develop to their full potential and feel safe from the risk of harm or abuse. The best interests of the child are paramount in all considerations about their welfare and protection. We recognise our responsibility to safeguard the welfare of children and young people.

Our safeguarding policy and procedures provide a framework to ensure children are safeguarded, and outline how to respond to concerns.

Comments, compliments and complaints
