By providing libraries with physical and digital resources, BookTrust Storytime aims to inspire lower income families with young children to engage with their local libraries and make visits a part of everyday life.

With the help of our supporters, we are increasing access to the magical world of books and reading, particularly for children between 0-5 years old.
Many first-time visiting parents were amazed at their children's engagement with storytelling, and many took the books home to re-read and share with siblings and grandparents.
Mrs Ahmed took her 18-month-old granddaughter to her local library for the BookTrust Storytime pilot, and she hasn't stopped talking about it since!

We gathered the learnings from this programme to inform our second phase in 2022/2023, during which we are offering more resources, to more libraries, for longer.
