Have fun sharing rhymes

Babies and young children love songs and rhymes. There’s no need to worry about whether you can sing, your child absolutely loves to hear the sound of your voice.

Not only is singing rhymes and songs together lots of fun, it can also play an important part in developing your child’s language and communication skills. When you sing and share rhymes together, your child becomes more familiar with rhythms, sounds and words.

Sharing rhymes is also a great way to build a loving bond with your child. As well as enjoying the rhythm and repetition in the rhymes, they love being close to you and will be soothed and calmed by your voice.

There is no right or wrong way to share songs and rhymes, the most important thing is that you’re having fun!
